Weymouth Public Libraries celebrates and sustains the growth of community, collaboration, and culture through traditions of reading, learning, and sharing.

The Weymouth Libraries Foundation, Inc. is an approved 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization committed to empowering our libraries to best serve and strengthen our community.

Our libraries play a vital role not only in connecting diverse people across many neighborhoods but also connecting residents of all ages to dynamic resources that enable them to grow and succeed. Through our actions, we want to promote and strengthen the extraordinary things that our libraries can do and offer.

Join us as a co-author in Weymouth’s next great chapter

Amidst our 400th anniversary in 2022, we are celebrating not just our remarkable history, but the places and values that make our town a great place to live, work, and play. Building on this legacy, we are excited to launch an effort to support one of our community’s greatest assets: our public libraries. Our foundation offers a new unprecedented opportunity to invest in our community’s next century. Join us as a co-author in Weymouth’s next great chapter, and at the same time etch your family’s name onto the walls of our libraries with a donation of $4,000. Donate now to be part of the documented 400 committed individuals and families.

  • “I can't even begin to tell you how good this library makes me feel. I spent lots and lots of hours in that space over many years in Weymouth, all of them well spent. These days, communities need libraries more than ever, as refuges, places that hold truths, and so much more.”

Brian McGrory, Editor of The Boston Globe & Weymouth native

  • “I am honored to donate to the Weymouth Libraries Foundation and be one of the Foundational 400 donors! Weymouth means a lot to my family and is where my roots remain strongly tied! Libraries are a gateway to knowledge and culture; libraries play a fundamental role in society. The resources and services they offer create opportunities for learning, support literacy and education, and help shape the new ideas and viewpoints that are central to an imaginative and innovative society.”
