Alison Tibbetts, Director

Alison Tibbetts, a lifelong South Shore resident and full-time Weymouth local for the past decade, built her career at the intersection of medicine, public health, and biotechnology. She began as an ICU and trauma nurse before moving into research as an epidemiologist, where she currently focuses on gene editing for rare diseases. Over the past 25 years, Alison has held senior leadership positions in biotechnology and has been directly involved in the development and approval of several disease-curing biologics for rare conditions.

Today, she works as an independent consultant supporting biotech companies through complex stages of drug development.  In addition, Alison is the founder of a leadership coaching practice that empowers individuals to leverage their strengths and live with authenticity. She is also a frequent guest lecturer at the Boston University School of Medicine and School of Public Health, where she shares her expertise with the next generation of healthcare and research leaders.   Alison holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Nursing and Biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania, Master of Public Health degrees in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Boston University, and a graduate certificate in Leadership Coaching from Brown University. Outside of her professional work, you can find her playing tennis, tap dancing, and organizing her neighborhood Supper Club. Alison is also the proud cat mom to Wills and Harry.
